Spelling Bee, anyone?

Was so bored this morning so i decided to watch the National Spelling Bee competition on ESPN. Its a very happening sort of thing in the United States. Dunno why kids there seem to pay soooo much attention on it... imagine hours of reading and memorising the dictionary. OMG!!! And there are only at the tender age of 12 and 13. Imagine at that age, the normal Malaysian kid will be talking about handphones, celebrities and Mawi and all that, but in the States, they read dictionaries. O.o okay, is that suppose to be a good sign or bad? Well maybe thats why they say U.S. boleh, U.S. maju... but we Malaysia boleh, tapi tak boleh maju. *Sigh* i know im so right. =.=

Okay, back to those kids. Have you seen how they look like? They look extremely nerdy, goofy, geeky, weirdo-look, haggard, what else can you put in? Even the little guy called Nate something from Alberta, Canada looks a lot like a blonde Harry Potter... well at least much better looking than the winner. He is err... he looks retarded. But i really appreciate his brains. OMG, IF I WAS THAT SMART... MY MUM WOULD LOVE ME MORE!!! GEE... what am i crapping about?

Thats the winner. The one on the left i mean. Look at that bugger who just said 'YESSS!' aloud. He lost anyways. Aww, dont count your bees before you spell them.

So... was watching a part where the commentator interviewed one of the previous winners of the competition, asking how much time he commited himself into this competition. Well, the answer was 1 hour a day of reading and memorising all the words. Geez... AN HOUR? With a dictionary? OMG, IM GONNA KILL MYSELF. Get me a knife, quick! That... Thats so boring. No life. What to do. We need these people for our future anyways. *Double sigh*

I really felt embarassed when watching the program. You see, these children can spell super multi-complex words by just listening to the pronounciations and definitions of the words, but me? I dunno what the fuck was the guy saying. =X Its like bees buzzing in my ears. No wonder they call it the Spelling Bee competition. No idea... BUZZZZZZZZ....

I remembered when i was 14... i entered some spelling competition too, but the answers were to be written down on paper. So okay, the toughest word i got was photosynthesis. THATS IT!!! And for these brilliant kids in the U.S., their words are so... unknown. I dont even know where they originate from. Its like an alien language. Even mum and dad never heard of them. BUH. If you give me words like those, i will BUH loudly at you. =.=

So anyone wanna sign up to see a bee who spells? Call the toll-free number 1-BE-A-NERDY-SPELLING-BEE. But sorry, its not open for Malaysians. Bear that in mind.

In Berberboo's mind : Gee, i feel so stupid... =.=
