When I Have Nothing To Do.

I reallllllyyyy cant wait till the holidays are over. Its a bummer to stay at home and do nothing. I mean really NOTHING. Well, at least im not going over-emo and start thinking and crying for no proper reasons like i used to 2 months back. Now im an evolved person. Yea, I AM!!! Hell, im 17 years old and 6 months old now, grown up!!! Well, so besides crying (if thats the only thing i can do) , i decided to do some baking to rid my boredom. And yea, let me start with something small first coz im not used to baking anymore. Gone were the days where i made cheesecake and all. Say, thats like a few years already. *SIGH*

Well, i baked a bread pudding for my brunch. Sounds so Westernize eh? But what to do? Thats the easiest recipe i could think of at that very moment, some more with the lack of equipment and raw food to bake, things can get sucky sometimes. Oh well. Lets see what i made from scratch. Not that good looking though.

This was the end product. Bread pudding ala Berber's style. Looks so golden brown and yummy right? Custard!!!

Upclose and personal. *winks* =D

The Leftovers. Couldnt finish it. Crap. Too sweet actually. For me la. Coz im not a big fan of eating sweet stuffs. (And dont try to say that i'll boom up fat coz ive eaten most of it. =.= )

So, anyone wants the recipe? I will be glad to share it with you. ^^ See how yours turns out to be, kay?

Ingredients:
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sugar ( you can use less if you want to)
3 cups milk ( fresh milk to be exact, did a mistake by using H&L low fat milk, ended up too sweet. =.= )
1 tsp salt
4 slices of bread, remove the crust part (you know la, the brown part)
1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)

Cut the bread slices into 1 inch x 1 inch squares. Arrange them properly in a baking dish. Beat the eggs and sugar together. Slowly pour the milk into the mixture while stirring the mixture. And salt and vanilla. Stir the mixture well until its well mixed. Pour mixture over bread in baking dish, till it soaks the bread and covers them. Then, bake it in an oven of 180 C for 50 minutes - 1 hour.

See how easy it is??? Fills your stomach to the fullest. And its a change from your normal brunch too. Enjoy. =D

And im gonna go back to reading my book and hugging my pillow!!!

p.s. Bought the Happy Feet pillow case in KL for RM 7.90. CUTE AIGHT? =)

In Berberboo's mind : Gonna try something different another day. Life is full of surprises. Hehe, glad my brother and dad said that the pudding was yummy. ^^
