A Diary of Unfortunate Events

Friday the 13th. A day closely associated with Jason from Elm Street and many other misfortunate stories and events. Superstitions and prejudices about this day are something which we Western thinking people would find it hard to push aside. It will keep bothering us, for example, find it hard to sleep or start thinking about supernatural stuffs and such. This kind of phobia is called paraskavedekatriaphobia. Why must we shower oursleves wih this fear? BUH. Idiots aren’t we? However, I can say life for me was… hmmm… how you call it? Perfect, but not so perfect in certain ways. Okay. In the morning, I went out with my buddy Kit. Later on in the gym, I saw this extremely cute and muscular guy (duh, he goes to the gym regularly, so you gotta expect a great body la). The shining light of good things during the day was suddenly dimmed by sadness at night. Why? At night, when I went into the hospital to visit and take care of my Ah Ma before the night shift staff comes to take over for the night, I saw someone died. The bed opposite my Ah Ma, that pitiful lady has undergone 4 major operations and sad to say, it’s a tough one surviving. Well, she managed to carry on for a few days but finally God decided that it is time for her to move on. So far this year, I’ve seen many deaths coz I frequent the hospital often. It’s an everyday thing ever since my Ah Ma was admitted there. And now, coming to the 3rd month of her admission in there, I’ve seen more than 3 deaths occurring right before my eyes. How sad and eerie at the same time you know. So, that lady, her corpse was wheeled out right before me, like one meter away from where I was standing. Looking at the huge wrapped bundle on the trolley… MAN I HATE THAT SIGHT AND THAT WEIRD FEELING IN ME!!! Should I go ugh? Okay… UGH!!!

Well, that was Friday. As for Saturday, I went to church for mass. And to my utmost surprise and silent OMGs, I saw a corpse right on the altar in my church. A father (priest), passed away on Friday the 13th, at 3.35 pm (if I’m not mistaken). Father Joaquin Pang, indeed a very old priest and have been serving the church for a very long time, was called back to God as well. And on the same day, Friday!!! OMG, two deaths in a day. And two corpses in two consecutive days. Geez. Can’t things get any better? Well, for your info, the body of the late Father will be in the church till Tuesday. So, to those who want to pay their last respect to him, you can do so in St. Joseph’s Cathedral. You know what, i pity those kids sitting at the children's liturgy area. Coz they are facing directly at the corpse!!! And when you see those little kids's faces, they looked close to tears, whereas some looked horrored by the sight. Sure nightmare one, 100% i can assure you.

Why oh why? It’s eerie enough to see two corpses. Tell you what, I did have trouble sleeping last night coz many thoughts came running into my mind, and you know an imaginative little brat like me can think of all the weird things and this will then disturb my sleep. Blame me and my bloody imagination. Crap! Well, I just hope the souls of those who left this world can find eternal happiness with Him in heaven. =)

Blessed be these people.

In Berberboo's mind : I hate seeing deaths. Well, they do make me stronger and more brave in this world, but the after effect just sucks big time. =(
