KL Tower. Our proudest erection. Picture taken when i just entered my hotel room after checking-in. It was gonna rain at that time. Sigh.
KLCC Twin Towers. The twin buildings. Looks nice from afar, extremely beautiful from near. And the shopping at its bosom is one of the best too. ^^
KL Tower by nightfall. Look at the lights at Bukit Bintang area. So well lit. Thats why the sky is not those pitchblack skies you get back in Kuching but those reddish tinge coz of the lights in the city.
Yea... KLCC by nightfall too. Do you know how many thousands of fireflies are needed to light up KLCC like that??? Beautiful scenery, one you will never get in Kuching.
Oh, did i tell you where my family decided to put up? We put up in Coronade Hotel, once known as Fairlane Hotel. Once a 4 star quality, now 5. Its my favorite hotel in KL and its a must to stay there everytime. Why? Coz it is located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, The Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur and also i'll say that its the hotel with the easiest access to food!!! Yup... Lot 10... all those stalls... Jalan Alur (got the name right finally)... bla bla... beats Federal Hotel and Prince Hotel.
My bed. Shared a room with my bro. And its a conjoined room with my parents. But the price... its for two rooms. =.=
The oh-so-remembered picture that is hung in every room in Coronade's. When you see this picture, you know you're definitely in Coronade Hotel.
The arrow pointing at the... err... what you call it? The direction to say your prayers? I felt the urge of trying to pusing the arrow to another direction but i feel thats a bad thing to do. So, attempts foiled. =(
But i seriously wasnt pleased with certain things in my room though. For example :
You get a blood-stained pillow in your room. I thought the cleaning service have checked our room before we checked-in? Buh. Call that 5 star.
And then the door which connects my room to my parents' room looked like this. Hell, it sure looks like some former tenants tried to break into our room from the other side. Security!!! HHHHEELLLPPP!!!
And also the lift in the hotel, we cant get to the floors we needed to coz the card couldnt be swiped. So only certain lifts can do so. =.= Aiseh...
And also one thing that creeped me out the most, i saw cockroaches!!! Those little ones on the table. Killed like 5 on the first day. But thereafter... everything was fine. I SERIOUSLY think that the previous tenant is a dirty person, unhygienic and all. IDIOT ASS. Dont think you paid for a hotel you can throw rubbish and dirty things whatever you want to. =S Uncivilised mentality shit.
Well, all disappointments were shortlived once i decided to read the papers supplied by the hotel, every single morning. ^^ Nice service.
I was laughing my ass off this piece of news. Say what? A mag reported the story of a man in Alor Star who had a 12-hour erection after overdosing on a herbal tea which supposedly had powers to make men more virile. Haha. So brave horr... desperado. Pity him though. A 12-hour erection could kill him. =X But then, the funniest of it all was... the man's name. Its Zaki!!! Oh Zaki, if you're reading this, dont come all the way from Inti to strangle me, kay? =D
Well, throughout my 5 days stay at Coronade, i can say the hotel services are 8.5/10. Kudos to the doorman who always held the door for us when we were heavily laden with shopping goods. To the cleaners, your services are much appreciated. Clean towels, new shampoo and other miscellaneous items... thanks. Thanks for disposing all the rubbish too. That helps rid cockroaches. And you are all polite and have world-class public relations. Brava.
Okay, lets step out of the hotel and explore. KL hasnt change much from the previous years. Its the same. Crowded everywhere. I wonder where the crowd comes from, especially at 11 am where i supposed that schools are still going on but the crowd of seh kias and all, the shoppers... its like shoppers in KL are paid-jobs or something like that. You get paid for shopping. Whoa... how serious can that be? O.o
There isnt any haze when we were in KL. So the weather wasnt that humid and stuffy. And THANK GOD!!! IT DIDNT FLOOD!!! Was dreading the flood thingy coz a few weeks before our trip, it flooded in KL. Imagine Smart Tunnel got flooded. And we did use the Smart Tunnel, which i can say is indeed a good infrastructure the gov made. Coz, it helps cut travelling time to 1/3 less and the track is very LOOOONNNNGGGG... i wonder how KL people dont notice that the construction workers have been drilling few kilometres underneath their feet.
And then there is the race confusion thingy. In KL, all you get are Malays, Chinese and Indians. If you dont look Chinese, you're a Malay then... coz you cant look Indian coz its gonna be too obvious. I was mistaken for a dark-Chinese. BUGGER. =.= My dad a Malay. Apa lar... Dont they know other races? I should just bluff my way through. Got mistaken for a Thai last year. Yea, keep to that identity. =P
KL... IS FULL OF PRETTY AND GOOD-LOOKING PEOPLE. I MEAN IT!!! The girls there are all pretty... i mean all... okay, not all... but 80%. Heavily on make-up and those ah-lien look, they look like Taiwanese. So pretty can!!! In Kuching so far, i only see less than 10 really pretty and hot girls. SIGHHHH... And the KL girls, their bodies... are hot hot again. Its rare to see someone fat or even chubby there. So me going there, and the girls so-called saying they are fat when they are not, makes me feel like im 200 pounds overweight. Bloody hell!!! And the guys... OMG... they are a notch above the guys you get back in Kuching (sorry guys!!! =( ). Its like walking around actors and superstars. So good looking. Drools... Haha. And they are tall some more.... wahhhhh.... TALLL.... But one thing though, they all sport those Ah Beng hairstyle. Those long ones lar, spiky ones lar... like you just stepped onto an acting set. Sigh. ANYWAY... Eye candies to the max!!!
One thing that sucks is... the cleanliness of the city. Quite clean at the first glance. But try looking on top. I was at Lot 10 eating breakfast one morning when all of the sudden... there flew a huge black crow. Perched on the tree above my head. SOOO, whats the big deal...? Guess what it was doing? It seriously was gobbling on a rat. EWW... above my head some more. What happens if it suddenly dropped the rat down, and it landed in my food? UGHHHH...
For all the love i can get in KL, i still say its a good place to go for a holiday or a trip, but maybe not a good place to stay or raising up a family coz of its many shopping malls, distractions and hectic life. People walking here and day, traffic jams during lunch breaks, it doesnt seem that the people there have time for anything. You have to eat in during lunch to avoid jams. Sigh. Where's that part where you can call your friend or your best buddy for a cup of coffee during lunchbreak? And the price of the food there is an eyesore. SO EXPENSIVE. Tilapia fish... RM 13 per kilo. Here... RM 8 or RM 9 only. Big Prawns... here RM 21... in KL, RM 89. WHAT THE HELL? Well the only thing cheap there are chicken and cockles. And fresh barley peng. ^^
When all good things come to an end, i just hope that i can hop on this car and ride my way to the terminal without carrying my heavy load of luggages, and also my excess weight ive gained over the days. =.=
Bye KL, love ya lots and gonna be missing you everyday till the next time we meet. ^^
PS. One thing that was really funny was... a taxi driver told us this story... made us laugh till we got tummy aches. You know Arabs love coming to KL during Mega Sales aight? And i know rain is scarce over in Arab... BUT HELL WHEN ITS RAINING IN KL.... DONT GO PUSHING YOUR LITTLE KID IN THE PRAM OUT IN THE RAIN... AND MUTTER PRAISES TO GOD AND THANK HIM FOR THE BLESSINGS!!! DONT YOU KNOW YOUR KID CAN GET SICK TOO??? I BET YOU DONT. REALLY WEIRD PEOPLE. =.=
In Berberboo's mind : I love the city and the people. And the shopping. ^^
